1. What are the hours of the Village Office?

The Administrative office is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Communications Center and the Police Department are staffed and open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

3. What day is my Refuse/Recycling on?

Trash is collected on the north section of the Village [Kirke Street (east and west) up to Bradley Lane on Mondays and Thursdays. The south section of the Village [Irving Street (east and west) to Western Avenue has collection on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Recycling is collected on the west side of Connecticut Avenue on Wednesday and on the east side of Connecticut Avenue on Thursday.

4. Who should I call if I’m having a problem with my water?

The Post Office is located at 5910 Connecticut Avenue (on the corner of West Lenox Street and Connecticut Avenue). Their hours are: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Their phone number is (301) 941-2793.
