Overnight Thursday, July 14 into Friday, July 15, 2016, two unlocked cars were entered on W. Irving Street between Magnolia Parkway and Cedar Parkway, and a third was entered on W. Kirke between Connecticut and Magnolia. All three cars were parked on the street.
Several automotive items (trailer hitch, fire extinguisher, jumper cables, etc.) were taken from one of the cars on W. Irving totaling $200 in value. Nothing was taken from either of the other two cars.
It takes very little time for someone to open an unlocked car door and take small items. Please help us prevent these crimes of opportunity by simply locking your car every time you park your car.
