Overnight Thursday, July 14 into Friday, July 15, 2016, two unlocked cars were entered on W. Irving Street between Magnolia Parkway and Cedar Parkway. Both cars were parked on the street. Several automotive items (trailer hitch, fire extinguisher, jumper cables, etc.) were taken from one of the cars totaling $200 in value. The other car was rifled through, but apparently nothing was taken.
It takes very little time for someone to open an unlocked car door and take small items. Please help us prevent these crimes of opportunity by simply locking your car every time you park your car.
