You may have noticed construction activity in the former Boxwood area on the west side of Chevy Chase Circle between Grafton Street and Magnolia Parkway. After years of effort to try and restore the former historic boxwood, the Board voted earlier this year to remove the boxwood to allow the space to be redesigned for the public’s benefit.  The intention is to create a greenspace conducive to pedestrian use while serving as a backdrop to both the refurbished Chevy Chase Circle, as well as the magnificent Heritage Post Oak tree along the western edge of the space.
